Janette McGinty.....performance work

Latest work: Hydrosis @ Proximity 1 on 1 Festival

A humorous look at the turmoil bodily functions can have on a contemporary employee. Hydrosis is an example of the lengths to which we will go when trying to make our involuntary secretions behave!

(PS Hydrosis takes part in a very small storeroom space - just you and me - not for the claustrophobic)

Sud Stories

Sud Stories - a celebration and exploration of human washing rituals - will be shown in the Blue Room Theatre, Perth 9th - 27th August 2011.  More details to follow.

If you would like to be interviewed as part of my research, please email me on jmcginty2@gmail.com.

Sud Stories - research interviews

Exciting times.  I am now interviewing the Perth public about their bathing rituals.  This is the most exciting part for me - people do not realise they have a ritual until they begin to talk.  Truly beautiful.

If you would like to be interviewed email me on jmcginty2@gmail.com

“Mr Stinky Tooth” on the radio

Mr Stinky Tooth will be broadcast on RTRfm in June 2011 - check it out.

Mr Stinky Tooth

Nosey - a true story presented at the Blue Room Theatre’s Barefaced Stories Feb 2011. Who ever thought going to the dentist could be so… uplifting.

Review:

“Janette’s vibrancy and enthusiasm cannot be described in words. With her unique delivery she had the audience crying with laughter as she described her ‘religious’ experience. Exceptionally funny.”

BURSTING

BURSTING, Blue Room Theare Perth, 15th & 18th February 2011.

Bursting plunges head first into “those pesky pee leaks” using storytelling, deconstructed ballet and direct audience interaction.

Bursting reviews:

“Dressed in a black leotard and a pink tutu, this lady of ‘over 21’ leaps into action, doing her uninhibited, strenuous ballet exercises. With a cheeky grin and a sense of humour similar to her fellow Glaswegian Billy Connelly, Janette had the audience in stitches from the word go”
